Afghanistan: Local actor shot dead by unknown gunmen

Kabul, Nov 17 (IBNS): Unknown men gunned down a local actor in the Khulm district of Afghanistan's northern Balkh province, media reports said on Saturday.

The actor was identified as Qudos Farahmand. 

Police spokesman Mohammad Ikram Samee told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in Tashqurghan Tangi area of the district on Friday.

He told the Afghanistan-based news agency that two motorcyclists shot dead Farahmand in the area where he had gone for picnic.

The motive behind the killing is still not known.
