Afghanistan: Kabul prison bombing leaves six killed

Kabul, Oct 31 (IBNS): A suicide bomber targeted a vehicle carrying employees of Pul-i-Charkhi prison in Afghanistan on Wednesday which left at least six people killed, media reports said on Wednesday.

The incident left eight others injured.

Basir Mujahid, spokesman for Kabul police, told Pajhwok Afghan News the suicide attack happened after a vehicle belonging to Pul-i-Charkhi prison attacked in the entrance at around 7:30am.

According to reports, three children among those people who are injured in the attack.

Abadullah Razeen, an official of the Ministry of Interior, told the Afghanistan-based news agency that the bomber had been recognized by police before he could penetrate the prison and reach to his target.
