Afghanistan: Intelligence operatives foil Taliban attack, four arrested

Kabul, Sep 21 (IBNS): Operatives of National Directorate of Security (NDS), the Afghan intelligence wing, have arrested at least four Taliban militants, foiling an attempt to stage a coordinated attack in Samangan province, local Khaama Press reported.

Among the nabbed militants was a suicide bomber, who had planned to launch an attack in a complex, located in the province.

The militants have been identified as Amruddin, Mohamamd Naeem, Rozatullah and Noor Aqa.

A suicide bombing vest was also recovered from the nabbed militants.

The Taliban is yet to comment on the report.
