Kabul, Oct 18 (IBNS): At least one person was killed and three others were hurt in a grenade attack in Kabul city of Afghanistan, reports said.

The attack took place late on Tuesday.

Confirming the report, Kabul police spokesman Basir Mujahid said that armed assailants hurled three hand grenades on a security post close to Spinzar hotel.

The deceased was identified as a civilian, while the three injured were said to be security personnel.

No group has claimed the attack so far.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, at least one person was killed in a magnetic bomb attack, earlier in the day.

The bombs went off in the vicinity of the 8th police district of the city.

Ministry of interior spokesperson Najib Danish said that the bomb was fitted inside a car and killed the driver of the vehicle when it detonated at around 7 am.

On Monday, the Afghan national intelligence officers stopped at least two suicide bombers from carrying out a series of coordinated attacks, while the security officials stopped a mini truck filled with explosives from entering the 5th police district on Sunday.

Later the truck was confiscated.
