Kabul: At least two explosions rocked Afghanistan's capital city Kabul, close to a  Sikh-Hindu temple in Police District 4, on Saturday, media reports said.

The exact number of deaths due to the explosion is still not known.

"We heard a huge blast in Kart-e-Parwan neighborhood at around 6 a.m. local time. The blast was followed by another explosion which occurred about half an hour after the first blast. The whole place has now been sealed off," an eyewitness told Xinhua.

Security forces have cordoned off the area.

"There is fear of possible causalities. Several warning shots were also fired by the security forces," the witness told the news agency.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.

Not even a day has passed since Kunduz province of Afghanistan witnessed an explosion in a mosque which led to the death of two people and injured 30 others.

The explosion occurred in one of the central mosques in the Imam Sahib District, a source told Sputnik.

According to Afghan broadcaster Tolo News, citing the Kunduz police, the incident took place at around 1:30 pm (local time) during Friday prayers.
