Afghanistan: Attack in lawmaker's house kills 4

Kabul, June 8 (IBNS): Militants attacked lawmaker Farydon Momand’s home in eastern Nangarhar province in Afghanistan and  left at least four people killed, media reports said on Friday.

 

 

The incident left five others injured.

Governor Spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News two assailants forced their way into Momand’s house at around 7:00am.

According to media reports, Momand and his family members were not at home when the incident took place.

Some students and servants were inside the house when the attack occurred.

One attacker was killed in the incident.

Another person was arrested by security forces.

The assailants killed a man and a woman in a house as well, reported Pajhwok Afghan News.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
