Afghanistan: At least 41 killed or wounded as Taliban, Security Forces clash in Kandahar

Kabul, July 17 (IBNS): At least 41 people were either killed or wounded as the Taliban militants clashed with members of the Security Force in Afghanistan's Kandahar province.

The incident took place on Monday night, local Tolo News quoted officials as saying.

According to reports, at least 25 militants affiliated with the Taliban group were gunned down, while 16 soldiers were either killed or wounded in the ensuing encounter.

The militants reportedly attacked check posts close to the Durand Line in Arghistan district.

The Taliban is yet to comment on the report.
