Afghanistan: Air, artillery strikes kill at least 11 Taliban militants

Lashkargah, Nov 3 (IBNS): At least 11 Taliban militants were killed by air and artillery strikes conducted by the Afghan forces in Helmand province, local Khaama Press reported.

 

Several objects belonging to the Taliban militants were also confiscated by the forces, according to statement by local government officials. 

A statement by the local government said that while artillery strike killed six militants, five were killed during the air strikes.

In a separate raid, army men seized at least 95 different types of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from different parts of Helmand.
