Washington, DC: Over 50 Supporters of National Resistance Front (NRF) of Afghanistan recently held a protest in front of the White House to oppose any effort by the UN member nations to recognize the Taliban government.

Afghan women activists, led by Nasir Sabeer and Afghan women’s rights activist Khalida Nawabi, joined the agitation held on Jan 30.

The demonstrators expressed their anger at the deplorable condition of Afghan women under Taliban rule and demanded that all Afghan protesters held by Taliban, including women protesters must be released immediately.

Denouncing Taliban as 'terrorists', protesters held Pakistan responsible for all actions of Taliban.

Protesters also urged international community to protect rights of Afghan women.
