Ending months of anticipation, Kannada superstar Yash's much-awaited action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups hit theatres on Tuesday, generating considerable buzz among fans and moviegoers.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is set against the backdrop of the international drug trade and explores a dark, stylised criminal underworld.

Yash plays the central protagonist, a mysterious and powerful figure whose journey unfolds amid violence, ambition and betrayal.

The film features an ensemble cast, with Kiara Advani and Nayanthara playing key roles. Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi are also part of the cast of significant characters.

Toxic has been shot in both Kannada and English and released in multiple languages, making it one of the year's most anticipated pan-India releases.

The film marks a major collaboration between Yash and Geetu Mohandas, bringing together the KGF star's action-driven screen presence with the filmmaker's distinctive, darker storytelling style.

With its gritty visual treatment, high-octane action and crime-drama narrative, Toxic represents a stylistic departure from Yash's previous outings and is expected to appeal to audiences looking for a more intense and unconventional action spectacle.
