Trans people are not invisible: Lady Gaga at Grammys 2025 amid Donald Trump's crackdown on the community

Los Angeles/IBNS: American singer-songwriter-actress Lady Gaga has sent out a message for transgender people in her acceptance speech at the Grammys 2025 which was held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Gaga won the 67th Grammy Award with Bruno Mars in the best pop duo or group performance category for their song Die with A Smile.

In her acceptance speech, Gaga said, "It's such an honour to sing for all of you. I just want to say tonight that trans people are not invisible."

"Trans people deserve love. The queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love. Thank you."

Gaga's comments are widely viewed as a counter to US president Donald Trump's signing executive orders targeting trans people.

Soon after taking oath as the country's 47th president, Trump cleared his government will recognise only two unchangeable sexes, men and women.

The US president has signed an executive order that mandates the transfer of transgender women in federal custodies to the men's prison.
