Hyderabad/IBNS: Telugu superstar Ram Charan and director Sukumar’s upcoming collaboration—tentatively titled RC17—will not be delayed, according to media reports.

Ram Charan is currently gearing up for the release of his next film, Peddi, which is scheduled to hit theatres on April 30.

After the film’s release, the actor is expected to begin work on RC17, which had recently been the subject of delay rumours.

The speculation began after Sukumar’s associate director Hussain Shah Kiran, at the launch event of Mrithyunjay, mistakenly said that the team was working on two stories instead of two versions of the script, creating confusion. The comment was later clarified by Kiran.

Sukumar is known to have his writers develop multiple versions of a story before finalising one. The storyline for RC17 has already been locked, reports said.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan is awaiting the release of Peddi, a sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma in key supporting roles. The background score is composed by A. R. Rahman.

Originally scheduled for release on March 29, Peddi will now hit theatres on April 30.
