Hyderabad/IBNS: Marking his birthday, actor Ram Charan on Friday treated fans to a glimpse of his character from the upcoming film Peddi.

Coinciding with Ram Navami, the actor shared a short video showcasing his rugged wrestler avatar, seen grappling in mud.

While he was earlier introduced as a cricketer in the film, the new promo presents the 41-year-old in a drastically different look—sporting minimal attire, a man bun, and a raw, intense presence.

The contrasting appearances have sparked speculation among fans about a possible dual role.

Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is a sports drama produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

Set in a rural backdrop, the film revolves around a village-level cricket tournament, blending sports, action, and emotional drama. Ram Charan has undergone a striking physical transformation for the role, sporting long hair, a rugged beard, and a muscular build.

The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma in key roles, with music composed by A. R. Rahman.

Originally slated for release on March 29, the film is now scheduled to hit theatres on April 30.
