Lacombe, Feb 5 (IBNS): Popular actress Kim Cattrall, who is known for rom-com series Sex and the City, has confirmed the death news of her brother Chris, who was missing in Canada for few days.

The actress has confirmed the news on Twitter.

Posting an image where she was seen with her brother, Kim said: "It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall."

"At this time we ask for privacy. We want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time."

Couple of days ago, Kim had put up a post on Instagram saying that her brother Chris was missing.

Chris was missing since Jan 30 from his home in Lacombe in Alberta province of Canada.

She said Chris' room was unlocked and the keys, mobile phone and keys were left on the table.

Seven dogs were also left behind, an unlikely behaviour of Chris as Kim claims.

Kim has thanked all people for loving and lending support at this critical time.
