Los Angeles, Jan 20 (IBNS): Amid sexual misconduct charges brought against Hollywood actor Michael Douglas by his former employee, actress and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones has come out in defending him.

'[Michael] had to come out pre-emptively because of what he believes in," Daily Mail quoted Catherine was saying in The View.

"He was articulate, said it from the heart. He was honest, open, and transparent. He now has to take the next step for where he goes from here. It's a question for him. It happened 30 years ago, it was B.C. - before Catherine," she said.

Michael's ex-employee has alleged that he  harassed her verbally and once exposed himself in front of her.

“He thought he was the king of the world and that he could humiliate me without any repercussion,” writer Susan Braudy said in an exclusive television interview with NBC News’s Kate Snow.

She had worked in Michael's production company for three years.

“He slid down the floor, unbuckled his belt and put his hand inside his trousers and I could see what he was doing. Then he began to sort of began to fondle himself,” she alleged.

“And I was very scared," she said.

Michael denied the accusation leveled against him by Braudy.

He told The Hollywood Reporter: "Maybe she is disgruntled her career didn't go the way she hoped and she is holding this grudge."
