Casey Affleck won't be presenting award at this year's Oscars

Los Angeles, Jan 26 (IBNS): Actor  Casey Affleck has withdrawn his name from the list of people to present  Best Actress Award at the upcoming Oscars.

The Oscar winner, 42, has told the Academy that he will not be appearing at the awards ceremony, PEOPLE magazine has confirmed. 

“We appreciate the decision to keep the focus on the show and on the great work of this year,” the Academy said in a statement.

The actor's performance in  Manchester By the Sea had made him grab the  Best Actor Oscar  last year.
