Baywatch actress Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff has died after committing suicide at her US home in Hollywood Hills on March 5, media reports said.

She was 62.

Bach was found at home in the Hollywood Hills on 5 March after she died by suicide, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's office was quoted as saying by BBC.

Pamela Bach was the former wife of US television actor David Hasselhoff.

According to reports, they met while shooting for the TV series Knight Rider and decided to marry in 1989.

They later worked on the Baywatch TV series.

The couple got divorced in 2006.

"Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff," Hasselhoff said in a statement as quoted by BBC.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that family members had not heard from her and wanted to check on her out of concern when they went to her house, which was locked.

The sources said they discovered her in the house.

Paramedics were called after discovering her when she was pronounced dead at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, TMZ reported.

No suicide note was found at the scene.
