Amber Heard becomes single mother, welcomes baby girl Oonagh

She has named her daughter Oonagh Paige Heard, who was born on Apr 8, 2021.

In a long post on Instagram, Amber, a single mother, said she wanted to have a baby "on my own terms".

In the picture, she is seen holding her baby in her arms.

Her post reads, "I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.

"A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this. My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life."

Amber was married to American actor-producer-musician Johnny Depp between 2015 and 2017.

Their divorce hit the news headlines as Amber had alleged to have an abusive relationship with Johnny.

After Amber had accused Johnny of domestic violence, the popular actor-singer filed a defamation case against her former wife in 2019.

Johnny had also filed a libel case against the publishers of a British newspaper who had accused him of domestic violence.

The High Court of Justice of England and Wales in 2020 ruled that Johnny had lost the libel case and most of Amber's allegations proved to be true.
