Supreme Court upholds liquor sales and drinking policy of Kerala
New Delhi, Dec 29 (IBNS) The Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld a decision by the Kerala government earlier to restrict the sale and drinking of liquor to five-star hotels only.
The apex court thus gave its nod on the policy of Kerala to make it almost a dry state.
Kerala government, led by Ommen Chandy, had introduced this policy in 2014 to make the state alcohol-free within 10 years, limiting bar licences to only five star hotels.
