Srinagar, June 3 (IBNS): Protesters launched three grenade attacks at CRPF vehicles in Srinagar on Saturday after a man, run over by its jeep, has died, media reports said.

The death of the man sparked massive protests in several parts of Srinagar.

About eight people were injured in the three grenade attacks.

Four personnel out of the eight suffered injuries.

The man who died in the accident has been identified as Kaiser Bhat. He was 21.

Soon after his death, hundreds of protesters gathered on the streets near Bhat's house to join his funeral procession despite prohibitory orders.

Meanwhile, authorities have snapped the mobile internet and imposed restrictions in parts of Srinagar to restrict violence.
