Right-wing groups cannot deny Hindu terrorism: Kamal Haasan

Chennai, Nov 2 (IBNS): Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan, who is eyeing a political career, has said the right-wing groups can no longer deny Hindu terrorism, media reports said.

Haasan said this in his column published in a Tamil magazine.

Speaking about terrorism, Haasan said: "The right wing cannot challenge talk of Hindu terrorists because terror has spread into their camp as well."

"Hindus are losing faith in 'satyameva jayate' and instead subscribing to 'might is right" he said.

The actor's comments came as a reply to Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan who asked Haasan about what he implied to say by recent communalism that is a threat to the peaceful co-existence of Tamil Drividan tradition.

Reacting strongly to Haasan's comments, RSS ideologue Rakesh Sinha tweeted: ".@ikamalhaasan must apologise for hurting Hindu civilisation ,defaming it , trying to create provocation for his petty political end."

"Is @ikamalhaasan trying to revive denounced narrative of Hindu terror under influence of a terrorist outfit in TN nd ally of PFI, Al Umma?" Sinha said in a follow up tweet.

Haasan's joining in politics is speculated over last few months as the actor has been critical of the ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu. He has also said that he is not a saffron person, distancing from the Bharatiya Janata Party.

He was seen to meet Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal weeks ago.

He was also seen to be present at an event organised by the principal opposition party of the state, DMK.

The actor has also shared the stage with DMK leader MK Stalin at the same event.
