| @indiablooms | Jul 24, 2022, at 05:30 pm

New Delhi/UNI: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday launched a fresh attack at the Narendra Modi-led government over the 'Agnipath' scheme and termed it as the new "experiment" of the Prime Minister which he said is a 'danger to the security of the country and youth'.

"Every year, 60,000 soldiers retire, out of which only 3,000 will be getting government jobs. What will be the future of thousands of Agniveers who will retire after four years of contracts?" he wrote in a tweet in Hindi.

Attacking the PM over the recruitment scheme in the armed forces, the former Congress president said, "The new 'experiment' of the Prime Minister is a danger for the security of the country and youth."

The Congress party has been demanding the ruling BJP to roll back the scheme which he said was a 'threat to the security of the country'.

In the ongoing Monsoon session of the Parliament, the grand old party has been demanding discussion over the scheme.
