One shot in Kolkata gang war

Kolkata, July 9 (IBNS): A youth was shot during an alleged gang war between two rival groups of anti-socials in central Kolkata's busy Entally area on Monday evening, reports said.

According to reports, miscreants from two local rival groups engaged in a clash with each other over promoting dispute near Jora Girja area under Beniapukur Police Station limits.

Several rounds of bullets were fired during the brawl and one local miscreant was injured by bullet.

Locals said that the youth has been admitted to a local hospital.

A huge police force from local police station rushed to the scene following the incident and a probe has been initiated into the matter, a senior city police official told IBNS.
