Income Tax department conducts raids at Apollo Hospitals
Chennai, Jan 5 (IBNS): The Income Tax department on Tuesday conducted raids across various premises of popular health-care chain Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd, media reports said.
The hospital authority also accepted that its premises across various cities have been raided by the IT department.
“The IT department visited our hospitals today and we extended our complete cooperation to them,” the Apollo said in a statement available with the media.
“We have always conducted ourselves with the highest degree of diligence and would like to reassure our patients, shareholders and stakeholders that we shall uphold their trust and faith in us,” it said.
The company runs 64 hospitals with at least 10,000 beds. It has 2,200 pharmacies and a network of clinics.
