IAF Jaguar Fighter Jet crashes in Gujarat, pilot dies

Jamnagar, June 5 (IBNS):  A pilot was killed after an Indian Air Force Jaguar aircraft, which was on a routine training sortie, crashed in Gujarat's Kutch area on Tuesday, officials said.

The pilot was identified as Air Commodore Sanjai Chauhan VM.

"The aircraft was airborne from Air Force Station Jamnagar," read an official statement.

"The Pilot, Air Commodore Sanjai Chauhan VM, sustained fatal injuries," it said.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
