ECI Announces Bye-poll Schedule for Ranikor Assembly Constituency in Meghalaya

New Delhi, July 27 (IBNS): The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule of bye-election for the Ranikor (ST) Assembly Constituency in Meghalaya, to fill up a clear vacancy.

The polling in the Constituency is scheduled to be held on August 23,  2018, and counting on August 27, 2018.

The Commission, after taking into consideration various factors like local festivals, electoral rolls and weather conditions, have announced the bye-election schedule.

The gazzette notification for the by-election will be issued on July 30.

While the last date for filing nomination is on August 6, the scrutiny will be conducted on August 7. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is on August 9.
