Congress expels Amit Jogi for six years
New Delhi, Jan 6 (IBNS): Days after an audio tape surfaced which allegedly showed MLA Amit Jogi involved in fixing an assembly by-election in Chhattisgarh , the Congress on Wednesday expelled him from the party.
Amit Jogi is the son of ex-Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi.
Chhattisgarh unit of the Congress has expelled Amit Jogi for six years.
"Amit Jogi MLA has been expelled from Congress for 6 years by Chhattisgarh PCC. Recommendation to expel Ajit Jogi has been sent to AICC," the Congress tweeted.
