Congress declares nominations for RS

New Delhi, May 28 (IBNS) The Indian National Congress (INC) declared its nominations for the Rajya Sabha on Saturday, according to a press release tweeted by Randeep S Surjewala, MLA, in charge of communications for the All India Congress Committee.

According to the release, the nominations include P. Chidambaram (Maharashtra), Ambika Soni (Punjab), Kapil Sibal (Uttar Pradesh), Oscar Fernandes and Jairam Ramesh (Karnataka), Pradeep Tamta (Uttarakhand), Vivek Tankha (Madhya Pradesh) and Chhaya Verma (Chhattisgarh).

The release said that the names have been finalised by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice president Rahul Gandhi in consultation with leaders from different states.

The INC India official site retweeted the same.
