BIS, Kolkata Carries out 3 Raids and to Prohibit Misuse of ISI Mark

Kolkata, June 18 (IBNS): The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) of Kolkata carried out three successful raids in the mineral water manufacturing units in the locality under Sonarpur Police Station, South 24 Parganas.

 

"The organisations where the raids were conducted include M/s N Saha & Beverage, village Joykrishnapur, M/s. Aqua Star, Boral, Dhalipara and M/s. Prapti Beverage (Prapti Enterprise), Boral," read a government statement.

During the raid operation, misuse of ISI mark was found on large quantities having brand names of Nakshatra Aqua, Aqua Star and P. S. Green packed in 20 ltr. Jars.

The raid operations were done to prohibit misuse of Standard Mark and for consumer protection. The raids were carried out by the officials of BIS, Kolkata branch in assistance with Sonarpur Police Station.
