40 die in thunderstorm and lightning in three states
New Delhi, May 30 (IBNS): Forty people were killed as thunderstorm and lightning struck different parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand on Monday, media reports said.
While Bihar accounted for 19 deaths, 12 died in neighbouring Jharkhand and nine in Uttar Pradesh.
The regional Met Office has warned that rain or thunderstorm is very likely at isolated places on the state in the next two days.
