Vice governor of China's Qinghai Province under investigation

Beijing/Xinhua: Wen Guodong, vice governor of northwest China's Qinghai Province, has been put under disciplinary and supervisory investigation by the country's top anti-graft body for suspected severe violations of disciplines and laws.

Wen, also secretary of the Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and secretary of the Party working committee of the Qaidam circular economy pilot zone, had turned himself in, an official statement said Sunday.

The investigation is being carried out by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
