Rawalpindi: Metro bus runs over student

Rawalpindi, Apr 28 (IBNS): A Metro bus run over a medical student in Pakistan's Rawalpindi city on Friday, media reports said.

The student has been identified as Sameera.

She was a student of Shifa College of Medicine, media reports said.

She was travelling Islamabad when the mishap happened.

As per Dawn News report, Sameera, a 19-year-old student of the Shifa College of Medicine, was travelling to Islamabad when the driver pulled the emergency brakes near the Rehmanabad bus station, apparently due to ongoing construction work in the area.

Due to the impact, the bus hit a pole and the door of the metro bus flung open, throwing Sameera out of the vehicle and onto the road, read the report.

She was run over by the bus.
