Pakistan: Protests held in Sindh towns over police action in Sann

Islamabad: Nationalist party members demonstrated and took out rallies in  many towns of the province Sindh in protest against police action against workers on the occasion G.M. Syed’s birth anniversary in Sann the other day, media reports said.

The call for the protest was issued by Syed Zain Shah, president of the Sindh United Party. The protesters’ leaders demanded Chief Minster Sindh tender resignation over the incident as well as SSP of Jamshoro, reports Dawn News.

They said that police had used batons on peaceful workers at the behest of chief minister.

Demonstrations were held in  Sukkur district, Kandhkot-Kashmore, Thull, Dor.

They demanded a judicial commission should be formed and action should be taken against the police force involved in baton charge and shooting, Dawn News reported.
