Mirpurkhas: A Hindu man was picked up by police from his home in Pakistan's Sindh region on Thursday, his family said on Sunday.

Ramesh Kumar Meghwar's family members said the police did not give any reason for their act.

His family members claimed Kumar was also subjected to unwarranted physical assault by unidentified officers.

Seeking urgent attention from higher authorities, the family demanded Ramesh Kumar’s immediate release.

The leaders of Pakistan Darawar Ittehad (PDI), working for the minorities in Pakistan, termed this unwarranted detention and harassment of Ramesh Kumar on the day when the nation was celebrating ‘Minority Rights March’ as a slap on the face of Pakistan which claims of being a champion of human rights.
