Karachi:  An educationist, who is also a senior office-bearer of a private schools association, was gunned down by unknown attackers in Pakistan's Karachi city on Sunday.

Police described the incident as a ‘targeted attack’.

The incident occurred in  Gulistan-i-Jauhar region of the city.

Victim Syed Khalid Raza, 55, was the deputy director of the Darul Arqam Schools, Karachi region, reports Dawn News.

SSP-East Zubair Nazeer Shaikh told Dawn News that the victim came out of his home towards his car parked nearby.

He said assailants on a motorcycle emerged there, opened fire at him and rode away.

The victim suffered a single bullet wound in the head and died on the spot.
