Afghanistan, June 2 (IBNS) : A massive demonstration was organised in Kabul on Friday as hundreds and thousands of people from across the city rallies at the site of Wednesday's deadly explosion that left hundreds of people dead or wounded.

According to the state-run Khaama Press, the demonstration takes place as the security situation remains tense in the city with the officials saying the alert is still high after the deadly bombing.

There are also reports of sporadic gunshots near the Zambaq square where a large number of demonstrators have gathered.

According to reports, the shots were fired by the police forces in a bid to scatter the protesters.

Over 90 people were killed and more than 400 others sustained injuries after a vehicle believed to be a water tanker packed with explosives was detonated near the Embassy of Germany on Wednesday morning.
