IndiGo issues handwritten boarding pass to passengers amid Microsoft glitch

Indian airline major IndiGo has issued a handwritten boarding pass to passengers amid an ongoing Microsoft technical glitch which has disrupted flights and other businesses across the globe.

Sharing the handwritten boarding pass, Akshay Kothari, co-founder of US-based firm NotionHQ, posted on X: "The Microsoft / CrowdStrike outage has taken down most airports in India. I got my first hand-written boarding pass today."

Several industries across the globe, including banks, airlines, telecommunications companies, TV and radio broadcasters, and supermarkets, were hit after users reported a blue screen of death error screens on Windows platforms on Friday.

Users on the subreddit for cyber security firm Crowdstrike reported issues in India, the United States and New Zealand, reported The Guardian.

Crowdstrike said blue screens of death have been observed in multiple locations across the globe and the cause is being investigated.

The company has said the issue is related to its Falcon Sensor product, and engineering teams are working to resolve the issue, according to a support notice as quoted by The Guardian.

What is Blue Screen Errors?

Blue Screen errors (also sometimes called black screen errors or STOP code errors) can occur if a serious problem causes Windows to shut down or restart unexpectedly, reported Microsoft website.

These errors can be caused by both hardware and software issues.
