Dhaka: Awami League leader shot dead

Dhaka, June 15 (IBNS): A ruling Awami League leader was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Bangladesh capital Dhaka city, media reports said.

He was reportedly attacked when he was leaving a mosque in Badda area of the city.

The victim, Farhad Hossain, was the general secretary of Awami League’s Badda Union wing, bdnews24.com reported. 

Bullets pierced his chest and head, the Bangladesh based news website said.

The incident occurred in front of Baitus Salam Jame Mosque, Badda Police Inspector Abul Kalam Azad told bdnews24.com.
