Bangladesh: Three electrocuted in Barguna

Dhaka/IBNS: Three persons of a family were electrocuted in Bangladesh's Barguna area on Monday, media reports said.

The victims included a woman.

The deceased were identified as Md Delwar Hossain Hawlader, 65, his nephew Md Rasel Hawlader, 18 and sister-in-law (Rasel's mother) Hamida Begum, 55, The Daily Star reported.

Police and family members told the newspaper that Delwar came in contact with an electric line while working at his garden at Khastabok village.

Rassel and his mother also electrocuted when they came to save Delwar, Md. Sahanuddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Patharghata Police Station told the newspaper.

Locals brought them to Patharghata Upazila Health Complex.

Doctors declared them dead.
