Bangladesh reports two more COVID-19 deaths

Dhaka/IBNS: Bangladesh on Saturday announced that two more people have died due to COVID-19 infection in the country.

Following the two deaths, the death toll in the country touched eight.

The tally of infections has also soared to 70 after nine more people tested positive in the last 24 hours, according to data released by the health directorate on Saturday, reported bdnews24.

This is the biggest jump in positive tests over a 24-hour period since Bangladesh announced its first cases on March 8, reported the news portal.

So far, 30 people have recovered.

COVID-19, which is believed to have originated from China, has now spread across different countries around the globe.
