Bangladesh: Explosion in factory kills 10

Dhaka, July 4 (IBNS):Explosion of a boiler at an apparel factory in Bangladesh's Gazipur area left 10 people killed, media reports said.

The explosion hit the Noapara-based Multifabs factory on Monday.

The first and second floors of the building have been damaged, reports said.

The injured people, which is likely to be 47, were rushed to hospital for treatment.

Rescue operations continued till Tuesday when another body was found, taking the toll to 10.

"Ten neighbouring factories, including Cotton Club, Islam Knitwear, Alim Fashion Limited, Delta Fashion, Masko Limited, were also closed on Tuesday," bdnews24.com reported.
