Kabul, May 8 (Sputnik/UNI) The Afghan Ministry of Public Health told Sputnik on Wednesday that at least 12 people were injured in the explosion in Kabul, which targeted the office of the Counterpart International in Afghanistan, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

"At least 12 wounded have been taken to hospitals following the blast in Kabul," spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health Wahidullah Mayar said.

The police found an explosive-laden vehicle next to the site of the attack and are preparing to blow it up, the Sputnik correspondent reported.

The Ministry of Interior told Sputnik that the employees of the NGO were being evacuated.

About 150 workers of the NGO have been moved to safety, Basir Mujahid, the spokesman for the Kabul police chief, told Sputnik.
