Afghanistan: Suicide bombing hits Nangarhar province, 12 killed

New Delhi, Sept 11 (IBNS): At least 12 people were killed in a suicide attack on protestors in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Tuesday, media reports said.

The governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bombing took place in the Daki area of Momandara district at around 1pm.

He told the Afghanistan-based news agency that protestors from the Shinwari region erected a tent in the area on the Jalalabad-Torkham highway. 

The injured people were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
