Afghanistan: Security officials arrest 26 IS terrorists

Kabul, Sept 19 (IBNS):  The Afghan Intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS) have said they have arrested 26 Islamic State terrorists from Kabul city, media reports said on Wednesday.

The terrorists were planning an attack on mourners during the Ashura Day, reports said.

A source privy of the development told Afghanistan-based Khaama Press that the militants have been arrested during separate operations in Kabul city. 

The source further told the news agency that the leader of the group identified as Abdullah son of Sultan Shah has also been arrested by the NDS forces. 

The IS has not commented on the issue so far.
