Kabul: A Pakistani-origin Al-Qaeda terrorist has been killed during a special operation by Afghanistan security forces in the south Asian war-ravaged country.

The slain terrorist was identified as Mohammad Hanif Alias Abdullah.

He was a key Al-Qaeda leader for the Indian sub-continent.

Hanif was a Pakistani national. He was reportedly given shelter and protection by the Taliban, reports Khaama Press.

He had entered Helmand province with the direct support of the Taliban, furthermore, he was moved with the ‘group’s cooperation to Farah province’, the Afghanistan-based news agency reported quoting an official statement.

As he had close ties with the Taliban, it is reported that he trained and assisted the Taliban militants in creating explosives, car bombs, and IEDs, the news agency reported.

Two female Pakistani nationals were also detained during the operation, reports Khaama Press.
