Afghanistan: ISIS militant hailing from Iran surrenders

Kabul/IBNS: An ISIS militant, who hails from Iran, handed over himself to Afghan forces in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, media reports said on Sunday.

According to a statement released by Governor’s Office of Nangarhar, the 23-year-old ISIS fighter surrendered to Afghan Border Forces in Haska Mina district, reported Khaama Press.

The militant confessed that Abdul Ahmad Irani, one of the leaders of ISIS terrorist group recruited him to ISIS ranks in Nangarhar, reported the news agency.

He told the security forces that he abandoned the terror group after realizing that its activities are against all principles and regulations of Islam.
