Afghanistan: Bomb blast in Jalalabad leaves two injured

Kabul, Feb 2 (IBNS): At least two people were hurt as a bomb blast rocked Jalalabad city in Afghanistan on Saturday, media reports said.

Attaullah Khogyani, the governor‘s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast occurred in the limits of the first police district in Daramsal locality of the of Jalalabad city, the provincial capital at around 10: 50am.

He told the news agency that two persons including a woman were injured in the incident and they were taken to Jalalabad Zonal Hospital.

Public Health Hospital Director Inamullah  Myakhel confirmed to Pajhwok a woman injured in a blast in the city was taken to hospital.

However, Saifur Rahman, an eyewitness, told Pajhwok the bomb blast injured a woman and a shopkeeper traveling in a rickshaw.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
