Afghanistan: Auto rickshaw explosion leaves three hurt

Kabul:  An auto rickshaw explosion in the eastern Afghan province of Laghman left three people hurt on Tuesday.

The injured people included two traffic police.

According to local sources, the gas cylinder of an auto rickshaw exploded on Monday, October 10, in the Chahar Asmat area of Mehtar Lam city, the provincial capital of Laghman province, Khaama Press reported.

In a statement, the office of the police chief for Laghman province stated that the gas cylinder explosion of a Tuk-tuk resulted in the injuries of 3 people, two traffic police officers, and a civilian.

The injured people were taken to hospital for treatment.

An investigation is being conducted to ascertain the cause of the explosion and identify those responsible, according to Taliban security officials in the office of the police chief for the province of Laghman.
