12 killed Bangladesh road mishap

Dhaka, Apr 20 (IBNS): At least 12 people were killed as two buses collided on the Rangpur-Syedpur highway of Taraganj upazila at Rangpur area in Bangladesh on Wednesday, media reports said.

The mishap left 40 others injured.

The identity of the deceased is not known so far.

"A Rangpur-bound bus of Tripti Paribahan from Syedpur and a Syedpur-bound bus od Saimon Paribahan from Comilla collided head on in the area around 10:30 am, leaving six dead on the spot," Prothom Alo reported quoting the police and witnesses.

The injured people were taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
