World Twenty20: Online registration for India matches, semi-finals and final to begin from tomorrow

| | Feb 25, 2016, at 02:05 am
Mumbai, Feb 24 (IBNS) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday confirmed that the online process to register for the lottery system for all the India matches, the four semi-finals (Men and Women) and the two finals (Men and Women) of ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 will begin on Thursday at 12h00 IST.

The window to register for the lottery system will be open for only seven days, closing on Wednesday, 2 March 2016 at 5 pm IST.

"The fans, in India as well as abroad, can register by completing an online registration form, which is available at [ https://in.bookmyshow.com/sports/cricket/icc-worldt20-2016 ], to indicate their preferred match(es) following which they will be automatically enrolled into the random draw. Through an automated process, the winners will be chosen and intimated either by email or by SMS," the BCCI said in a statement.

The winners from the random draw will then be given an opportunity to buy tickets for the match they have opted for and will receive a payment link to complete their booking.

This innovative process has been designed to avoid an instant sell-out of tickets, and to ensure that all users get an equal chance to buy tickets for the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016.
